A New Near-Future Michigan Scholarship

My name is Sandee Rodriguez and I'm starting a disability schoalrship for Michigan adult students going back to school. I will keep things posted here on how my progress is.  I think it will take about 1 year to get it up and running.Then I"m planning a fundraiser for the next year or so.  I"ve got alot on my plate but I'm passionate about this as there are almost no scholarships out there for brain injured survivors.  Right now I"m tossing around the name for it.

    Sandy, this is a great opportunity.  If I win the Megamillions lottery, I canl do the same in NJ!

    Some lame names here, but they may spark some word finding for better names:  Brain Injury Career Scholarship, Brain Injury Uplift, Illuminate Survivors of Brain Injury, Self-enhancement fund, Shining Stars Scholarship.

    Do you know if it would be for undergraduate, graduate, or both?  Would it be renewable from year to year?  Would any preference be given to individuals entering the rehabilatation or healthcare field?  Just tossing some ideas out there.

    now could you get the scholarship if you lived in MI at the time of your accident.  My accident was in Detroit, MI.  I was raised there 21 yrs now I am in FL.

    Thanks Adam you are so sweet. And you two ladies bring up some interesting ideas I didn't think of as part of the rules.  The scholarship will be for Mi. students going to school in Michigan at the time the apply for the scholarship. Sorry Jenette honey.  And Donna, I'm going to give the graduate and undergraduate thing a thought. I never would have thought that. Thanks so much for the feedback. THIS HELPS ME ALOT. I LOVE YOU PEOPLE.

    Well I'd love to think that this will inspire other survivors or someone in relation to a survivor to start a TBI scholarship in every state.
