Wall-to-Wall with Bonnie Weikel

  • Bonnie

    Hello,

I am going in for the surgery June26th and i am so hoping it helps. I have had authroscopic surgery twice on my shoulder and once on each knee. All worked well for me so I have good attitude toward this one.

You are so luckey to have an understanding boss like you do. The fact he is a DR. probably helps. He can check for himself what you've been through.

What problems you haveing if I may ask?   I have been luckey so far I have hadn't had many problems from my aneurysm except, short term memory, balance, hearing and a few annoying things but nothing big.

Take care and keep in touch.

Sorry to hear about the hip surgery.  It should hopefully help though.  I had knee surgery to get rid of cartledge that had died a few years ago.  It helped SSSOOOOOO much!

I am still working, but taking it slow.  Luckily, the doctor and his wife are willing to work with me.  If I can't go into work because of pain or anything, they don't mind.  I can work from home when I need to too.  I think the other girls at work are jelouse.  I get to boss them around from home in my pajamas!  I have talked to the doctor and he understands that my health is my greatest priority.  Luckily, there are certain aspects of the medical billing I do that noone else knows, and he is cheap so he's not willing to pay someone from outside the company to teach the other girls.  Bad for him, but job security for me.

Now I am having some complications from my aneurysm.  Going through loads of tests.  Horrible fun.  Now, I am being tested for other things.  Some organs were affected by some medicine I have had to take, so now I get to work on fixing that too.  Like my aneurysm and stroke wasn't enough.

Well, we can never say that we have a boring life! lol!

Let me know how your surgery goes.  Wishing you the best of luck!

Hi nice to hear from you. I have had DR. appts. every day this week. Looks like i am going in for surgery on my L hip. It's taken 2 yrs. to find out what the problem is. I have a torn cartledge from a fall over 2 yrs. ago. Hopeing this will get rid of the pain when I walk. No gaurentee but it shouldn't make it any worse. DR says with all thats going on in the hip I will most likely wind up with a hip replacement. Course of treatment now is to buy me as much time as we can before the drastic move of hip replacement.

You have a posted a very nice picture. nice to put a face with the words.

I'd keep working as long as you can but don't push yourself too hard your still recovering.

     Bless you & talk soon,

Nice to hear from you. It's great your back to work. Just don't push yourself too hard and over do it. Rmember your body has been through a lot. You will eventually get to know yourself as time goes on. You will know when to pause and quit pushing.

EX:   I am not suposed to be walking anymore because of my Hip & arthuritis. DR says worse thing I can do to myself. But then i do it any way at least once a week. I am so tired of sitting in the house all week. Any when I go for a walk I have a certain route i take every time that allowes me a rest period every now and then. I also go out dancing once a week which I also have be careful at. I very rarely dance two songs in a row. I usually sit between each song i dance to.

As long as you don't give up you will keep on improving as time passes. Keep up the good work and best wishes to you.

Hi hun.  Sorry I havent been around in awhile.  Going back to work is completely tiring me out and making some of my symptoms worse again.  Probably from the extra activity.  I love my job so much though, it makes me want to keep pushing to get better.  I hope your doing great.  Talk to you soon!
