To Understand Me

March 15, 2009

I'm new to this site. I joined and sent a request to my fiance to join. I'm hoping he will be better able to understands me if he learns about what is going on. He doesn't understand what I'm going through or how I feel. Noone does. He thinks I'm joking when I say I forgot something. He doesn't understand how hard I'm pushing myself to get a normal life back and why that's important to me. I understand why he wants me to always be at home. He's scared something like this will happen again and I will dieext time. Like the doctor said, there is just as much chance of this happening at home as there is it happening out of the house. Out of my whole family, he is the one person that needs to understand me the most. If he could understand me, then I think it would help our relationship get back to the way it used to be before all this happened.

    What you have stated is, perhaps, the number one issue facing brain injury survivors. People don't understand what it's like because they have nothing in their past like it. I would encourage you to have your fiance consume the information at www.braininjuryguide.org so he can learn more about your new life.

    Sir you try yo  to live again with your wife & she is trying to live with you again but a brain injury slowa things down. please try to get the info from a doctor & he will let you know what she is going through. Please have a heart & you can live a better life again with your wife. My wife is my Angel & I love her very much for what she does for me. Patience is a strong factor in your life & I know you can handel it. Have a good one & maybe we could talk to each other some day. CYA

    Hi Moonprayer,

        How things going for you? If you do find a way to get your  B/F to understand please pass it on to me. I have been trying for 2 yrs. to get this man to accept the fact that my brain doesn't work like it should any more no matter how hard I try their are somethings that I have no controll over.  It's been a never ending circle of arguments between my B/F and i over brain issues.He's favoeite remark is. You just need to try harder or you use your brain issues as an excuse for everything you do wrong.

     I am also at the end of my rope with the yelling that goes on in the house at tiem. When I get upset I forget eaiser and also go into a state of confusion.

        He got me DR. Jamesons book for Christmas but has yet picked it up to read any of it himself. Guess he doesn't need to because he already knows everything.

      I have decided I am working on me and what I need to survive this ordeal. They can either join me on my venture or go their own way . whatever choice is made I have to do whats best for ME!

     Moon you know how to get ahold of me. I am sorry I rambled on so. I get carried away sometimes. Message me sometime. let me know how your doing.
