caregiver survey

Caregivers have needs also.  Caregivers have to be cared for so they can care for others (like those with TBI).

The survey consists of a series of questions about your situation, concerns,
thoughts, feelings and behaviors as a caregiver.
People who qualify for the study must be a non-paid primary caregiver
of a person or multiple people (any age) with disabilities such as a
spouse, child, sister, brother, parent, grandparent, friend, etc.
Any
disability of any severity qualifies as long as the person needs
assistance from a caregiver.

Why must it be non-paid primary caregivers for this study? Being paid doesn't make it any easier nor does it take away any of the problems caregivers have. Just a question? Thanks

It's just this particular study.  Caregivers are such a big group.  Payment is just one way of narrowing it.  I myself use paid caregivers.  They are also called Direct Support Providers (DSP), and there is a big movement.  http://www.ucp.org/campaigns/whowillcare/americanworker.htm Click start to watch the cartoon.
